Explosion Rocks PA Home, Injuries Reported (Breaking)

An explosion and fire tore through a Pennsylvania home along South 9th Street just after 12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, disptachers explained.

Firefighters and emergency responders were called to the scene of a reported house explosion followed by a fire along the 300 block of South 9th Street in Connellsville just after noon, Fayette County 911 confirmed.

Emergency crews arrived to find the home engulfed in flames, with residents evacuated from nearby houses as a safety precaution. 

While the extent of injuries remains unconfirmed, initial reports suggest that at least one person may have been injured.

The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.

Authorities are urging residents to avoid the area as emergency crews continue their response.
